The Tarkine in Motion
For those not able to venture into the wilderness you will experience a virtual reality by seeing the The Tarkine in Motion courtesy of The Bob Brown Foundation. The beauty of this scenic northwestern Tasmanian wilderness inspired a group of artists of many mediums to spend last Easter in various Tarkine ecosystems, from jagged coast and button grass plains to rainforest rivers with time-lapse photography.
Last weeks at the innovative Sustainable Living Festival expressed one strong message from our world’s eminent scientist Sir David Attenborough, who is still passionate about Earth-care at 90 years old:
“The one thing that we all have to do, in a way that covers every aspect of our life is simply not to waste.
“Don’t waste plastic, don’t waste food and don’t waste power.
“Live within our means, without inflicting damage on the planet; that IS a possibility. And that’s what we should all be aiming at.”
