H.O.P.E. – Healing Our Planet Earth

January 13, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

“If The Oceans Die, We Die.”

The St Michael’s Environment group will start this year with an excursion after morning tea today.

For many years Sea Shepherd has been patrolling the Australian Antarctic Territorial waters, saving 6,000 whales from hunting by the Japanese.

Why is this important work? Interested in this life at sea? Well, today is our chance to get on board the retired flagship vessel the Steve Irwin for the last free tour and learn about current campaigns.

This non-profit conservation organisation also run coastal and river cleanups to stop our plastic rubbish endangering marine life.

COST: By donation; merchandise available.

WHERE:  Docklands,  Victoria Harbour Promenade.

WHEN: Meet at foyer at noon with a snack from the Global Concerns table & we’ll aim for the 1pm tour as this will be a popular event. I will bring extra food to share.

ROUTE:  Bourke Street tram to Docklands.

Hoping you feel like a mini adventure.
