Margaret's message?

Our planet is home to over 7 billion people. Our impact on our beautiful home is
enormous. Habitats and ecosystems have been destroyed and numerous species have been lost. Animals and people have been ??forced to flee their homes due to climate
induced insecurity and conflict? (Rimmer,
https://seasonofcreation.org/2021/05/10/season-of-creation-on-2021-celebration-guide-en-news/).

What can we do to reduce our impact on the earth we love? Moving our dreams to reality requires inspiration and action. It may feel like an insurmountable task to bring our planet from the brink, but each one of us can make meaningful changes in our lives. Working
together with others, we can make a significant difference by acting locally for sustainability, and advocating for policy change to protect the planet at state and federal levels.

See the Season of Creation section below for links on sustainable action and advocacy.

Join St Michael??s Online Gathering for Humanity Sunday exploring a spirituality revolution that is grounded in love of the Earth.

Stay safe and stay kind.
Margaret

?Acting for your planet

"The Season of Creation is the annual Christian celebration of prayer and action for our common home. Individuals and communities are invited to participate through prayer,
sustainability projects, or advocacy that focus on ??Planet Earth, a Home for All? (www.seasonofcreation.org).

Prayer: Join us at St Michael's Online during September for prayer, liturgy, hymns and
reflections that focus on Planet earth, our home.
Sustainability: Make a sustainable lifestyle change or even lead a clean-up project that helps all of creation thrive.
Advocacy: Raise your voice for climate justice by participating in, or leading an ongoing campaign. Is there a climate issue you feel passionate about or want to see changed? Penning a letter to your local MP is a start. The Australian Religious Response to Climate Change have some excellent tips on writing an effective letter and provide a template to get you going.
