What can we do to reduce our impact on the earth we love? Moving our dreams to reality requires inspiration and action. It may feel like an insurmountable task to bring our planet from the brink, but each one of us can make meaningful changes in our lives. Working together with others, we can make a significant difference by acting locally for sustainability, and advocating for policy change to protect the planet at state and federal levels.
See the Season of Creation section below for links on sustainable action and advocacy.

"The Season of Creation is the annual Christian celebration of prayer and action for our common home. Individuals and communities are invited to participate through prayer, sustainability projects, or advocacy that focus on “Planet Earth, a Home for All” (www.seasonofcreation.org).
Prayer: Join us at St Michael's Online during September for prayer, liturgy, hymns and reflections that focus on Planet earth, our home. Sustainability: Make a sustainable lifestyle change or even lead a clean-up project that helps all of creation thrive. Advocacy:Raise your voice for climate justice by participating in, or leading an ongoing campaign. Is there a climate issue you feel passionate about or want to see changed? Penning a letter to your local MP is a start. The Australian Religious Response to Climate Change have some excellent tips on writing an effective letter and provide a template to get you going. Other templates can be found at: climatecouncil.org.au
Choose between the 15-minute or 30-minute sessions. The St Michael's Online Mindfulness Meditation sessions encourage slow breathing and an increased awareness of being in the present moment. Presenter: Karen Ellis
