| Jennifer (Jenny) ChengJenny passed on Sunday, 3 November. Jenny was living a busy life as a wife, mother, and schoolteacher when she suffered a stroke. As she dedicated herself to recovery, she discovered there were no support groups for survivors. Together with her husband Peter, she founded the Boroondara Stroke Support group in 2002. Today, the group still supports many people through its activities and wellbeing programs. Jenny received a St Michael’s Medallion in 2007 for her work with stroke survivors and became a member of St Michael’s in 2009. A service of thanksgiving for Jenny’s life will be held at St Michael’s on Saturday, 9 November, at 3pm. |
