HOPE (Healing Our Planet Earth) - "Creation Spirituality"

One of the key note presenters at the impressive July conference: "Sacred Earth: Original Blessing; Our common Home" is Mathew Fox, who some of us have heard in Rev Burnham's sessions 'Saving Jesus.' Matthew was actually here at St Michael's speaking on Ecology, Religion & Spirituality back in 1993. Those who cannot go to Sydney for the conference might like to come and listen to a recording of his still relevant talk which I have a copy of.

It will also be a chance for an exchange of current environmental ideas in our circle.

Saving Jesus with Rev Peter Burnham

When: Sunday 7 July, 12:00pm
Where: Waratah Room, Level 1, St Michael's Place 

Session 7

The format for each 1 - 1 1/2 hour session includes a conversation around the readings, a 20 minute video segment and guided discussion. Join Marcus Borg, John Dominic Crossan, Matthew Fox, Amy-Jill Levine, James Forbes and a host of others for an exploration of the relevance of Jesus Christ for the third millennium.

Lunchtime Organ Recital Series

When: Every Thursday, 1:00pm (doors open at 12:30pm).
Where: St Michael's Uniting Church

Thursday 11 July, Rhys Boak will be performing at the Lunchtime Organ Recital Series.

Mindfulness Meditation Sessions

When: Sunday 14 July, 11:30am sharp to 12:00pm
Where: Wellbeing Studio, Level 1, St Michael's Place

Presented by Karen Ellis

Meditation has long been part of Karen�??s life, with 40 years of personal practice.
For the last 10 years, her interest has extended to sharing this with others for health and wellbeing, including in her role on staff in a large acute hospital, working in the area of grief and loss.  

She participates in ongoing study and has completed meditation teacher training.

When:
Lectures: Tuesdays 3, 10 and 17 September 6:15pm to 8:30pm (doors open at 6:00pm).
Workshop Thursday 19 September 5:45pm to 9:30pm (doors open at 5:30pm).
