Paws for Wellbeing with Roz Rimes

Join Roz Rimes and her Australian Cobberdog Ruby in this engaging session “Paws for Wellbeing”.
Roz will outline her work in canine-assisted education (CAE) and canine-assisted coaching (CAC).
Youth mental ill-health is on the rise in Australia, particularly among young people living with trauma or in non-traditional learning settings.
Roz introduces the power of CAC & CAE and the science behind the human–dog bond.
Using real case studies, one with Indigenous youth and another in flexible learning and youth justice—we explore how therapy/wellbeing dogs, combined with VIA Character Strengths, can foster healing, resilience, and academic success.
With stories, demonstrations, and optional audience interaction, this “Paws for Wellbeing” session offers inspiring insights into compassionate, strengths-based approaches that are helping vulnerable young people reframe themselves as capable and valued learners.
