Membership

Becoming a member is about making a commitment to being part of St Michael’s. You may have been coming to St Michael’s for many years or you may have only attended a few events. If you believe you are ready to affirm the work of St Michael’s, to create a new understanding of what the faith can mean to people in the 21st century, then you may wish to become a member.

St Michael’s consistently seeks to blend a helpful integration of psychology and religion, and a positive voice in the Interfaith movement. Many people from all over Melbourne, and beyond, have found their experience of St Michael’s gives them a different way to cope with life and gives them a stimulating new perspective on religion in contemporary society.

For those interested in the possibility of becoming a Member of St Michael’s, two meetings for prospective new members are planned:

  • Sunday 2 May
  • Sunday 19 May

At these meetings with Rev Peter Burnham and the New Member’s Team, you will have the opportunity to discuss what is involved in Membership of the Uniting Church in Australia and St Michael’s Uniting Church in particular.

The Induction of the New Members will take place during the Communion Service on 2 June 2019.

If you would like to know more or talk to someone about becoming a member, please contact Lyndell O’Brien or Joy Arnot through the St Michael’s Office on 03 9654 5120 or email office@stmichaels.org.au
