Prof Dr Doeke Post
Since early in his medical career Doeke Post has been interested in the issues that relate to the end of life. His experience as a General Practitioner, Health Insurance Practice Administrator, Professor of Social Medicine at University of Groningen, has provided him with insights and ideas on how one might best manage this.
He has published 25 books. One of the latest books De Dood Komt Steeds Later (Death keeps coming later) covers the issues around extending life through medical intervention and technological advancement and the resulting ethical issues. The English language version of the book Dying – I’ll Do It My Way, will be available soon. At the forum he will discuss the topics covered in his book.
