GivingSt Michael’s Uniting Church ministry team is Lead Supply Minister Rev David Fotheringham and Pastoral Supply Minister, Rev Peter Burnham.
Rev David Fotheringham
David is the Lead Supply Minister for St Michael’s (part time), as St Michael’s Congregation transitions towards a new chapter of worship, witness and service.
David was previously in the role of Moderator of the Uniting Church Synod of Victoria and Tasmania (2022-2025), and is the part-time Chairperson of the Uniting Church Assembly’s Commission for Governance, Resourcing and Administration.
David is strongly motivated by the gospel calls for grace and inclusion, with care for our community and world based in of God’s love and hope for us all.
David was ordained in the year 2000, after having completed postgraduate studies in both physics and theology, and has ministered in a variety of settings including Whittlesea, Horsham, Ashburton and Frankston. David is enjoying returning to ministry in the city, having begun his ordination journey while worshipping with a city congregation. David has an active family life, with two children who have recently finished school and a pre-schooler full of joy and curiosity.
