On Friday 8 December we remember the family and friends lost in the tragic Australia Post massacre on this day 30 years ago in Queen Street, Melbourne. In 1987, nine people died and several injured as a result of the incident.
We welcome those who wish to pay tribute or offer prayers to those lost on this sober day. Stories of those involved will be shared.
Proceedings will start at 9.15am on the corner of Queen and Bourke Street (H&M Building), where a wreath will be laid at the memorial stain glass window. Attendees are then invited to attend the memorial service at St Michael’s at 10.30am. Refreshments and morning tea will be served following the service at St Michael’s Hall, behind the church.
